Born and raised in the vibrant culture of Brazil, my wanderlust ignited early. Since 2006, I’ve traversed the globe, wearing many hats in the travel industry – from collaborating with Tourism Boards to supporting small hotels and tour operators. But throughout my journey, one desire remained constant: to create travel experiences that go beyond the tourist facade, fostering genuine connections with people and places.
It was during my extensive travels through South America, especially, that my passion for local experiences truly blossomed. Immersing myself in diverse cultures, from the bustling streets of Buenos Aires to the breathtaking landscapes of Patagonia, I forged connections with local communities that enriched my perspective on travel. These experiences, coupled with the warmth and hospitality I encountered, became the seeds for Loci Travel.
It might sound unexpected, but my journey to Austin began with a spark of love – a spark ignited at the foot of a volcano in Chile, no less! Falling for a charming Texan there set in motion a chain of events that brought me to this vibrant city.
Having called Austin home since 2020, I’ve come to cherish its unique spirit. From the mouthwatering queso at Torchy’s Tacos to the peaceful kayak adventures on Town Lake, there’s always something new to discover. But Austin is more than just its attractions – it’s the people who make it special.
